Dr. Mary O. Smith was unanimously elected as the new Chairman of CHF’s Board of Directors at the Foundation’s recent board meeting. She has served on the Board of Directors and Scientific Review Committee for years. She replaces Dr. J. Charles Garvin who is stepping down as Board Chairman but will remain an active Board member.
CHF staff are on the road – making connections with dog lovers, researchers, and everyone involved in canine health. This month, CHF staff attended the Tarheel Cluster dog shows in Raleigh, NC and connected with future veterinarians at the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) Symposium in Knoxville, TN.
Established in 1995, the AKC Canine Health Foundation's (CHF) mission is to advance the health of all dogs and their owners by funding scientific research and supporting the dissemination of health information to prevent, treat and cure canine disease.
