CHF marked Epilepsy Awareness Month this November by highlighting the epilepsy research we fund and its outcomes on social media, to the press, and through e-mail. In 2021 alone, more than $375,000 has been invested to better understand canine epilepsy and develop new treatments for this difficult disease.
CHF recently awarded three Clinician-Scientist Fellowships to promising researchers at Colorado State University, the University of Florida, and Washington State University. Their projects studying cancer, atopic dermatitis, and spinal cord injury will have a positive impact on the health of dogs for years to come.
Canines & Cocktails, our annual celebration and fundraising event, will be held in conjunction with the AKC National Championship dog show. Join us Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 7:00 pm – 10:30 pm at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, FL. Tickets and sponsorships are now available.
Established in 1995, the AKC Canine Health Foundation's (CHF) mission is to advance the health of all dogs and their owners by funding scientific research and supporting the dissemination of health information to prevent, treat and cure canine disease.
