2019 NPCCHC Logo white textThe 12th biennial AKC Canine Health Foundation National Parent Club Canine Health Conference was held in St. Louis, MO on August 9-11, 2019. Sponsored by Purina, the conference provided a unique opportunity for canine health researchers, parent club members, veterinarians, and veterinary students to interact and discuss the latest findings in canine health research, including sessions on the canine gut microbiome, cancer, autoimmune disease, and genetics.

Dr. Anita Oberbauer receives the 2019 Asa Mays, DVM Excellence in Canine Health Research Award

Dr. oberbauer w dog Anita Oberbauer, PhD, Professor of Animal Science and Associate Dean in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of California, Davis, was awarded the 2019 Asa Mays, DVM Excellence in Canine Health Research Award in recognition for her extensive work on the genetic basis of health disorders in dogs.
